with the economic downturn. Toyota believes the SUV
market is still on the rise, as they will have a total
of five different SUVs available for sale. Since 1996,
the RAV4, or "Recreational Active Vehicle with 4-wheel
drive", has been Toyota's entry level SUV. In 2001
it gets a new engine, and a fresh new body, not just
a facelift, which makes the RAV4 larger inside and
out, than the previous model. It now looks like the
cars manufactured by the competition but it's unusual
look is what made it a success and Toyota has turned
it's back to this.
