When
this car was innitially introduced, the majority
of makes for it were available in V8. But the
base Firebird and the Firebird Espirit had a
standard - straight six. The car is still available

starting at $19,625 US. The standard package
comes with a 3.8 litre engine and 200HP. The
fully loaded model is made of lightweight aluminum
and it is a 5.7 litre V8 with 305HP.
