The
Delorean is the vision of the John Z. Delorean. It
was created because he wanted to put the "ethical
sports car" on the road. The car was manufactured
beginning in 1981 at the State-of-the-art factory
in Dunmurby, Northern Ireland. For those of you curious
as to who John Delorean is, he was once one of General
Motor's most respected designers. He was responsible
for the 70's Corvette. The DMC-12 portrayed above
is powered by a rear-mounted, 130 HP Peugeot-Renault-Volvo
2.8 litre V6 engine. The most easily recognizable
feature on this car is it's Gull-wing doors.
