The Countach was the second car manufactured by Ferrari. The first car was the Miura created at the Lamborghini factory which was founded by the great Italian Furruccio Lamborghini. The Countach was first conceived in 1971 and was a smash hit at it's autoshow debut in 1973 in Geneva. The first model was sold in 1974 and it was the beginning of a sixteen year manufacturing success for this car.

The name Countach is Italian for "Wow! Look at This." The car has a V12 engine and an aluminum body. All together there were five generations of this best known Lamborghini manufactured. Those include the LP400 from 1974-1978. The LP400S from 1978-1982. The LP500S from 1982-1985. The 5000QV from 1985-1988. And finally the 25th anniversary model to commemorate the inauguration of Lamborghini
